The suspicious package that West Kelowna RCMP investigated yesterday has been determined to be non-criminal in nature and not a threat to the public.
West Kelowna RCMP were called to a business on Dunfield Road in West Kelowna yesterday morning, March 2, when a suspicious package was located by employees.
"As a precaution, RCMP cordoned off the area and requested the assistance of the RCMP E Division’s Explosive Disposal Unit who attended and determined that the contents of the package were not a threat to the public," Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in a press release.
West Kelowna RCMP’s investigation has determined that the package was not criminal in nature, and the file is now concluded.
