A Kelowna custom apparel business with entrenched connections to wineries and companies across the Okanagan Valley can assist you with all your branding needs.

“Essentially I help companies brand themselves,” with staff apparel, clothing, swag, gifts and more, said owner Gordon Blair of Blair Sportswear Ltd.

Born and raised in Kelowna, Gordon decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and take over the family business in 2017, which will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022. Today’s focus for the business is more on corporate apparel and not just sportswear.

At Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery, the business supplies the winery with a variety of different clothes and swag.

“I think there’s a really good synergy between ourselves and Mt. Boucherie. They’ve come up with some really unique ideas for apparel… but moreover I work with all the different departments at the winery,” he said.

"I provide the 'uniforms' for the serving staff in the wine shop and restaurant, work clothes for the winemaking team, chef coats and clothes/caps for the chefs and cooks, as well as all the apparel and swag for resale."

The branded clothing is essentially free advertising. “Every time the winery sells a shirt, the public sees it, thinking that looks interesting, and that they should check out that winery,” he said.

"We can decorate any kind of apparel or swag," Blair said. "We do embroidery, screen printing, sublimation printing, sport film... just about everything."

The team at Blair Sportswear also has a talented graphic designer who can develop gorgeous logos and has a history working with companies like Konquer Motorcycles and Inland/Kenworth.

Keeping the decoration and graphic design together means significantly lower rates for customers than if a company uses a designer and an apparel company separately, Blair said.

They also do branded apparel like Nike, Puma, Adidas, Carhartt and Dickies for customers and charge lower rates than a retail store, he said.
