Kelowna singer Jacob Chrystal, known as Unknown Persona, is releasing his latest song today and it features singer, rapper and record producer CeeLo Green.
Looking For Love will be released on all music streaming platforms today, March 15.
"It's basically a pop R&B song inspired by those reality television shows about people looking for love and all those things that go with that lifestyle," Chrystal says.
Chrystal has been making music for the last seven years and started doing so professionally in 2019 with the release of his first album Glass Half Broken.
It's through the connections he's made in the local music industry that an opportunity to work with five-time Grammy Award winner CeeLo Green came up.
"I've been working a whole lot in the Okanagan and through that I met an artist named HazyMADE and he connected me with a music producer named Adrian Wood who's out in Los Angeles," he says. "He works a lot with big artists like CeeLo Green and it's through him that I obtained this collaboration
"It was pretty fun and exciting, definitely a little intimidating but I am so grateful to have had that opportunity."

Chrystal grew up and Penticton and is now based in Kelowna.
Kelowna might not seem like the most obvious place to get started in the music industry.
"Starting a music career in Kelowna has been pretty good, I've enjoyed it and, it requires a lot of work and perseverance, but it's really good," he says.
"The only challenge I've really encountered was my own self-doubt besides, of course, the pandemic which really slowed things down, but it allowed me to work hard by myself and start creating a lot of things."

The musician is working on a new album which should be released in April.
"I want to be pushing my music upward and I'm getting into a different style. I started off doing more hip-hop, but I'm now getting into more pop music and singing," Chrystal says.
"I'm just really into art and entertaining people and I'm really into filmmaking. So I would also love to put music and film together and make some short films about music and maybe with some of my own music."
