It what is becoming a trend in cities in B.C., police, firefighters and paramedics will be celebrating the hard work of health care workers tonight with a convoy of emergency vehicles with lights and sirens.

"As first responders we know what it's like to face a crisis head-on and to work countless hours for the benefit of others," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said in a press release.

The emergency responders will meet at the Kamloops courthouse at 6:55 p.m. today, April 1, before driving past Royal Inland Hospital.

Emergency responders saluted health care workers with a procession past Kelowna General Hospital last weekend.
