KELOWNA, B.C. - An airliner operated by WestJet has made an emergency landing in Kelowna after reporting a medical emergency.
Jenelle Hynes, a spokeswoman for Kelowna International Airport, says the plan landed Saturday shortly before 8 a.m.
The Boeing 737, carrying nearly 100 passengers, was en route to Edmonton from Vancouver.
Hynes airport firefighters, paramedics and police were on standby for the landing.
She says the plane is being inspected, while passengers continue to Edmonton on alternate flights.
