The biggest women's expo in the Okanagan is looking vendors as organizers get ready to host the September event.
Kelowna Women’s Expo CEO Vanessa Miskuski predicts 4,000 people will attend this year's event at MNP Place on Sunday, Sept. 22. Along vendors, there'll be performances and networking opportunities.
“There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a business owner, a student or a senior,” Miskuski said.
The expo has already booked more than 150 vendors attending the event, and with room for more.
Vendors will be selling earrings, candles, books, crystals, cosmetics along with other handmade items, as well as fitness classes and activities to try.
The event will feature a networking atmosphere where attendees can get to know other community members, buy locally made items while learning more about themselves, others and how to advance in their careers.
“I find getting people out and feeling vulnerable at the workshop and demonstrations, meeting new people, feeling curious and leaving inspired is kind of the goal,” Miskuski said.
The expo will feature dancers, motivational speakers, singers, an illusionist, a masseuse, yoga demonstrations, tarot card readings and more.
Over $20,000 in prizes are available to win in draws. A portion of the money from the event will go toward a charity of the expo's choosing.
Tickets are $10 a piece for the afternoon and the event will begin at 12 p.m. and finish at 5 p.m.
Anyone is welcome to this event to celebrate women empowering each other to fulfill their goals.
“I just want someone to leave and go home that night and take the next step for something they’ve always wanted to do," Miskuski said.
