VERNON - A man who was found with multiple stab wounds in downtown Vernon last week will recover, but RCMP still have questions about how he ended up with those injuries.
The man was found injured at the corner of 25 Avenue and 41 Street around 10 p.m. on June 6. The been stabbed and had multiple lacerations. He was rushed to Vernon Jubilee Hospital and treated for serious, life-threatening injuries.
What led up to the stabbing remains unclear, but Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says the 24-year-old man was the victim of a brutal assault and police are looking to the public for more information as they continue to investigate.
