    That’s the last day for purchasing a new license or renewing an existing license for 2017 at the discounted rate of $20 for a dog that’s spayed or neutered and $60 if not.

    Starting March 1, licenses go up the regular annual rate of $40 and $80.

    It’s easier for dog owners in the Central Okanagan to save when they purchase or renew their dog license for 2017. And renewing can be quicker than ever.

    That’s thanks to the ‘My Dog Matters’ App created for the Regional District of Central Okanagan. The App is believed to be the first developed for local governments in Canada and brings the opportunity to renew a dog license right to an owner’s mobile device.

    Business owners in West Kelowna can renew their City of West Kelowna business licences online, a service now available through most financial institutions.

    The City has mailed renewal notices with payment instructions, including the new online payment option, to approximately 1,800 existing business licence holders.
