The Mara Hill fire, located north of Ord Road, is estimated to be 3.2 hectares in size and is now under control, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service.  Ten wildfire service members remain today to mop up the fire with support from Kamloops firefighters.

No structures were threatened by the fire and the cause is under investigation.

The only other wildfire burning in the Kamloops Fire Centre is a small one on Beaver Lake Road east of Lake Country that was discovered July 14.
