Firefighters are tackling a grass fire near the Cinnamon Ridge Compost Facility in Kamloops this afternoon.
Kamloops Fire Rescue assistant chief Ryan Cail says the report of the fire came in at about 3:25 p.m. today, July 14.
Cail says crews aren’t yet sure on the exact cause or size of the fire, but he says it is not very large. He isn't certain if it is within the actual compost facility or the surrounding area.
Three fire trucks were deployed and ten firefighters are tackling the blaze.
