The Latest: Ex-Trump aide says he'll probably co-operate

WASHINGTON - The Latest on former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg, who has said he will defy a subpoena in the Russia meddling investigation (all times local):

8:30 p.m.

Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg says that he'll probably end up co-operating with special counsel Robert Mueller after all.

Nunberg has been giving television interviews in which he says he will defy a subpoena and refuse to appear before a grand jury.

In a reversal, Nunberg tells The Associated Press in an interview Monday night that, in the end, he's likely "going to end up co-operating with them."

Nunberg tells the AP that he's angry about being asked to share his email conversations with a long list of ex-campaign aides, and he says he doesn't think the subpoena is fair and that he'd like Mueller's team to narrow its scope of inquiry.

7:30 p.m.

A former Trump campaign aide says he will refuse to comply with a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller.

Sam Nunberg says in televised interviews that he doesn't believe he should have to hand over emails exchanged with top Trump advisers. He also says he thinks Mueller may already have incriminating evidence against President Donald Trump, although he doesn't say what that evidence might be.

Mueller is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign and potential collusion between Russia and Trump campaign officials.

Nunberg was an early Trump adviser, but they parted ways early in the campaign.
