RCMP seeking information in South Okanagan road rage incident

Oliver RCMP are seeking information regarding an alleged road rage incident that took place near the community on Feb. 7, 2020.

Oliver RCMP are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who is a suspect in an alleged road rage incident.

RCMP officers attended a report of a road rage incident in the Vaseux Lake area on Feb. 7 around 6 p.m.

A driver travelling south on Highway 97 reported being tail-gated by dark coloured pickup truck, RCMP say in a media release.

The driver turned onto Tucelnuit Drive and pulled off to the side of the road to let the truck pass, but the pickup also stopped. The driver got out of the truck and approached the other driver, yelling and kicking the victim’s vehicle before getting back into the truck and continuing south on Tucelnuit Drive.

RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian man in his mid-40s, short, with a stocky build with dark coloured hair and facial hair, and a “smoker’s” voice.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Oliver RCMP at 250-498-3422, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
