RCMP asks tips on anniversary of Kamloops homicide

On the anniversary of a homicide in Kamloops, the RCMP is asking the public for information again.

Mark Hoffman was found dead at the Inks Lake Road recreation site off Highway 5, south of Kamloops on Dec. 16, 2023, according to a press release from police.

Hoffman and his dog were found dead near a green Ford Explorer.

Hoffman was last seen at the Jimmy’s Liquor Store at 408 Paul Lake Road around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2023.

“This remains an open and active investigation,” Staff Sgt. Jason Smart said in the release. “We’re urging anyone who had contact with Mark Hoffman, saw his vehicle, or has any information that may help solve this crime to contact us.”

RCMP have released images from CCTV footage of Hoffman at the liquor store. Police said any detail could help piece together what happened to Hoffman.
