A woman in the Comox Valley area may be practicing midwifery without being permitted to do so by the regulatory body.

The BC College of Nurses and Midwives issued a public advisory to warn that Erika Nabuurs might be offering and practicing midwifery services and restricted activities as set out in the Midwives Regulation.

The public advisory states that Nabuurs has never been registered by the college and, therefore, cannot practice midwifery in BC.

The public is encouraged to verify the registration of any midwife through this website.
