PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP’s Targeted Enforcement Unit took a good look at some people known to them last week, and it paid off with the arrest of two drug dealers.

Police spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says members of the unit set up surveillance in the parking lot at Walmart last Wednesday, Sept. 20, around 2:15 p.m.

Around 4 p.m., police noticed a man and woman leading occupants of a vehicle around the side of the building, he says. Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested.

Wrigglesworth says the two suspects were found to be in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and suspected heroin.

A 32-year-old Penticton man faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count for breach of probation. A 39-year-old Penticton woman faces three charges for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of stolen property.
