FILE PHOTO

Kamloops RCMP seized a stolen truck and arrested one man after responding to a fight at a Valleyview motel.

Police were called to a fight on the 1700-block of the East Trans-Canada Highway just after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 11, where there were two men associated with a black pickup truck, according to an RCMP news release.

Officers found a suspect in a motel room as they responded to the fight, but found the truck was previously reported stolen.

According to police, the black truck was stolen from a motel on Rogers Place the day before on Dec. 10.

One suspect was arrested and later released with a court date.

Police say charges are being assessed and anticipated to be laid once the investigation is finished.
