KAMLOOPS - Mounties are on the search for a male suspect after a downtown pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint this morning.
Kamloops RCMP received a call around 8:45 a.m. today, Dec. 23, for a robbery at the Kipp-Mallery Pharmacy at the corner of Third Avenue and Victoria Street.
Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the male entered the business with a firearm and demanded cash. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled and left the gun at the scene. Police have determined it to be an imitation firearm.
The suspect is in his mid-20s and wore dark coloured jeans, a black jacket, black ball cap, black hoodie, black scarf and tan coloured workboots at the time of the robbery. Bush says he may have fled the scene on a red bike.
