Okanagan, Shuswap cities has some of the cheapest gas in the province

Okanagan and Shuswap communities have some of the cheapest gas prices in B.C. right now.

With prices soaring as high as 177.6 cents per litre in Vancouver and Victoria, Kelowna’s Centra and Canco gas stations on Highway 33 reached 152.9 cents per litre for regular gas, making them one of the cheapest locations in the province, Feb. 20, according to Gas Buddy, an online gas tracking system. Costco's gas location also posted 148.9 cents per litre on Baron Road.

Salmo also reported cheaper gas, reaching 150.9 cents per litre.

Vernon locations are tying with Kelowna, with its cheapest gas at the Super Save on 32nd Street with 152.9 cents a litre. Salmon Arm prices are also the same with 152.9 per litre at the Super Save on 3rd St NW and at the Petro Canada on Lakeshore Drive.

Penticton’s cheapest gas can be found at the Husky on Westminister Avenue at 159.9 cents per litre and Kamloops Costco currently has the cheapest gas in that city at 156.9 per litre, according to Gas Buddy.

Fort St John’s Shell currently has the cheapest price for regular gas in B.C. at 146.9 per litre.

B.C.’s average per litre is currently 168.9, according to Gas Buddy.
