A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a Kelowna teenager last fall in a hit and run.

Tristan Seeger, 15, was run over and killed by a car at the intersection of Franklin Road and Houghton Road in Kelowna's Rutland neighbourhood, Oct 21, 2023.

At the time, investigators said the teenager was hit by a vehicle and taken to hospital in critical condition where he died from his injuries. Police also said the collision was associated to a nearby earlier incident involving a group of teens where a number of people were bear sprayed.

RCMP were originally investigating the Seeger’s death as a homicide.

Kazakoff has appeared in court a number of times for traffic violations over past few years, according to court documents.

RCMP said no further details will be released to the public as the case is before the courts.
