KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents can expect a taste of fall this week.

Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa Erven says the region is under a trough of cool, unstable air that will persist through this week.

“The forecast is calling essentially for on and off showers throughout the week, with temperatures trending downwards, especially during the end of the week,” Erven says.

Expect a 30 per cent chance of showers today, Sept. 10, in Kamloops with a high of 21 Celsius.

Tomorrow the chance of rain increases to 40 per cent with the chance of a thunderstorm as well, and a high of 20 C.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are expected to be cloudy, with temperatures trending in the high teens, between 16 C and 18 C.

That is quite a bit chillier than the normal high of 23 C at this time of year in Kamloops.
