Motorcyclist dead after Kamloops collision Friday night

KAMLOOPS - A man is dead after a collision between a motorcycle and a parked car in Kamloops on Friday night.

According to a press release, Kamloops RCMP responded to a reported motor vehicle accident near the Richmond Avenue and Schubert Drive intersection on June 28 at 11:20 p.m. They discovered a motorcycle had crashed into a parked vehicle and closed the roadways into the area.

The 34-year-old motorcycle driver was found dead at the scene. Speeding is suspected to be a contributing factor in the accident. He's believed to be a Kamloops resident.
