Winter was just getting started yesterday with its chaos-causing snowstorms.

Even more snow is expected in the Shuswap, with total amounts of about 10 cm expected.

Snow should change to a few rain showers this afternoon as warmer air moves into the area.

The Coquihalla, from Hope to Merritt, also is forecast to have some challenging conditions ahead with snow continuing to fall this morning then becoming mixed with rain this afternoon.

Environment Canada said favourable conditions for freezing rain exist for this morning.

If you're travelling, be sure to check Drive B.C. to plan your route. A number of travel advisories are in effect.
