Winter was just getting started yesterday with its chaos-causing snowstorms.
Snowfall warnings remain in effect for much of the Okanagan, Shuswap and surrounding area, although has been rescinded for the Similkameen.
From Vernon to West Kelowna, a Pacific frontal system will give a further five centimetres of snow today.

Even more snow is expected in the Shuswap, with total amounts of about 10 cm expected.
Snow should change to a few rain showers this afternoon as warmer air moves into the area.
The Coquihalla, from Hope to Merritt, also is forecast to have some challenging conditions ahead with snow continuing to fall this morning then becoming mixed with rain this afternoon.
Environment Canada said favourable conditions for freezing rain exist for this morning.
