A Kelowna transit bus hit the ditch off Valley Road today during the heavy snowfall today.

Peter Boyd captured these photos near where Valley Road runs into Sexsmith Road in Glenmore, just before the road was closed, early this afternoon, Jan. 6, so tow trucks could pull the bus out.

A car hit the ditch a little further down the same road.

The heavy snowfall is the start of what’s likely to be a week of unsettled weather in the Okanagan and Kamloops.
