MDA posts Q2 loss of $1 million, takes hit from share price adjustments

VANCOUVER - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA) reports second-quarter net loss of $1 million, or three cents per diluted share, compared to net earnings of $29.6 million or 72 cents per share in the same period last year. Revenue came in at $164 million compared to $195 million year-over- year. Net earnings were impacted by large, unrealized mark-to-market adjustments, primarily due to the effect of a sharp rise in the company's share price at quarter-end, resulting in revaluation of share-based compensation.
