SAO PAULO - Brazilian authorities say five people are missing after a fishing boat with 23 crew members on board sank off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
Brazil's navy says the vessel went down Wednesday night near the town of Angra dos Reis. It says 18 people were pulled from the water alive by another fishing boat cruising nearby.
Navy patrol boats and air force planes were called in Thursday to search for the five missing men.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
