KAMLOOPS - To commemorate the upcoming 50th anniversary of Canada’s flag, students from two Kamloops schools loaned their voices to a national project.
The Flag of Canada hometown commemorative project is recording students across the country singing the national anthem.
In Kamloops, students from both St. Ann’s Academy and Bert Edwards Elementary were recorded yesterday, Oct. 13. Their voices will be included en masse with the singing of children from schools across Canada.
In total more than 80 schools will participate in the project and the singing from each one will be put together in one collective audio clip.
The recording and a documentary will be put together as part of a anniversary digital yearbook celebrating 50 years of our national flag.
