Kamloops RCMP investigating shooting in the Dallas area

KAMLOOPS – Police are investigating after a man was shot several times in a targeted attack in Kamloops early this morning.

At 1:30 a.m. today, Feb. 9, Kamloops RCMP responded to a call from a residence in the 5000 block of Dallas Drive.

When police arrived on scene they found a man who had been shot multiple times, according to an RCMP press release.

The officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to hospital. The victim is expected to make a full recovery, police say.

“Police believe this to be a targeted attack. The Forensic Identification Section has examined the scene and the investigation is ongoing,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release.
