The emergency room at the hospital in Merritt is closed again, this time for just over 24 hours.
The Nicola Valley Hospital emergency department closed at 7 a.m. today, March 13 and will reopen at 8 a.m. tomorrow, according to a media release from Interior Health Authority.
The health authority closed the ER due to a physician vacancy.
Over the past three months, Merritt’s emergency department was also closed Dec. 20, Jan. 8, Jan. 16, Feb. 7, Feb. 17, Feb. 21 and March 10.
