Indie Rock with West Kelowna Roots at Music in the Park this Friday

Prepare to be rocked in Memorial Park during this Friday’s Music in the Park featuring opening act Flu and headliner Fields of Green.

Indie Rock band Fields of Green has a large fan base in West Kelowna and Kelowna, with three of its members former Mt. Boucherie Senior Secondary students. Their music is inspired by Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, Kings of Leon and The Beatles. Flu is a rock band based out of Kelowna.

The lineup for the July 26 Music in the Park, includes:
-  Talented Kid: 6:45 p.m. – Austin and Charlie
-  Opening Act: 7:15 p.m. – Flu
-  Headline Act: 8:15 p.m. – Fields of Green

Free, family friendly Music in the Park concerts take place every Friday night from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. through August 30 at Memorial Park, adjacent to Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre. Music lovers will enjoy a variety of genres including country, pop, classical, and more! West Kelowna Recreation staff will be in the park hosting games and activities for the kids. A food vendor will also be operating on site this year, offering hot food, sandwiches and cool summer treats.
