Some Kamloops health-care workers received a pipe band tribute before starting their shift this week.

Members of the Kamloops Pipe Band Society gathered in front of the Royal Inland Hospital to play for hospital staff, Tuesday, May 5.

The band performed "Amazing Grace" in honour of health-care workers and their dedicated efforts during the COVID-19 outbreak.

This isn't the first time locals have paid tribute to workers.

In April, Kamloops First Responders and construction crews put on a parade for workers, with signs, sirens and flashing lights.

Many Canadians have shown their support and appreciation for health workers, and some still still pay tribute every night at 7 p.m. with cheering, clapping and the banging of pots and pans.
