iN PHOTOS: Wind begins to take toll in downtown Kamloops

Strong winds have blown branches off of trees in parts of Kamloops, including the downtown Riverside Park.

KAMLOOPS - While winds gust across Kamloops amidst a wind warning for the area, the damage is already being felt in some areas.

Branches and leaves blanketed the grass at Riverside Park this morning, Oct. 17, all of which were blown down by strong gusts of wind.

Environment Canada issued a wind warning for the Thompson and Shuswap this morning. Strong westerly winds of 70 km/h with gusts up to 90 km/h are expected today.

If you have any photos of damage from the strong winds, post them to our Facebook page or email them to us at news@infonews.ca.
