Four arrests after three Kamloops drug raids

Three RCMP raids in Kamloops Tuesday morning netted four arrests.

Two Brocklehurst homes and one closer to the Tranquille corridor were all searched in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, according to Kamloops RCMP.

“As a result of the search warrants, police seized significant amounts of drugs, firearms, and cash as part of an ongoing investigation,” head of the detachment Supt. Jeff Pelley said in a news release.

The Dec. 5 operation ended with four people in custody, but few other details have been released so far.

The local drug and gang squad, called the Targeted Enforcement Unit, led the investigation with help from the Emergency Response Team and the provincial gang squad, known as the BC Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, RCMP said.

The three homes were on the 900 block of Tranquille Road, 2100 block of Edgemount Avenue and 2500 block of Glenview Avenue.

It's not clear whether the four people arrested are facing charges or what charges they might be facing.
