Fire that destroyed Kelowna automotive business was arson

The cause of a massive fire at a Kelowna automotive shop this past weekend is suspicious and RCMP are investigating it as an arson.

The cause of a massive fire at a Kelowna automotive shop this past weekend is suspicious and RCMP are investigating it as an arson.

Emergency crews were called to the blaze at PM Automotive at 1950 Kent Road at around 9 a.m. Sunday, May 26. The fire gutted the business.

So far investigators have spoken to witnesses and collected surveillance video in the area, according to an RCMP media release issued today, May 28.

Anyone who may have witnesses the arson or has dash cam video from the 1900 block of Kent Road between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., May 16, are asked to contact Kelowna RCMP  at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2024-28135.
