PENTICTON - A single vehicle crash on the weekend resulted in charges against the 18-year-old driver.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says early in the morning on Sunday, July 2, police responded to reports of a brown Acura crashing through a fence on Gahan Avenue in Penticton.

Police arrived to find the occupants had fled the scene, but they were tracked down quickly after a neighbour of the driver recognized the vehicle.

The man was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
