NARAMATA - The historic Chute Lake Lodge near Naramata has new owners.

Hoodoo Adventure Company will be acquiring the operations immediately, with renovations planned to ‘refresh’ the property, according to a Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association media release. Local investors are also involved in the acquisition of the lodge, located on the Kettle Valley Railway trail east of Naramata.

Hoodoo plans to turn the lodge into a year-round recreation and adventure destination catering to tourists and local adventurers.

Hoodoo Adventure Company owners Mike and Lyndie Hill say the lodge has amazing potential.

“We look forward to working with our partners to create a unique destination to stay, play and take advantage of all that the Okanagan has to offer,” Lyndie said in the release.

“We are excited to develop Chute Lake in an eco-friendly way to allow more people to access adventurous activities,” Mike said in the release.

Renovations are expected to get underway right away, with the lodge reopening on Dec.1.
