A body was found in Okanagan Lake in Kelowna's City Park Monday morning, but police don’t think a crime has been committed.
Officers responded to the report of a body in the water around 7:45 a.m., June 2, according to an RCMP media release.
Officers, including members of the Underwater Recovery Team, pulled the deceased man out of the water. RCMP said it isn’t releasing his identity.
Police said there's no concern for public safety and this was an isolated incident.
The BC Coroners Service is investigating and Kelowna RCMP are assisting.
The City Park was closed but it has since reopened.
RCMP said it isn't releasing any more details “out of respect for those affected by this unfortunate incident.”
