A BC nurse has lost his licence for sexual misconduct with a vulnerable psychiatric patient.
According to a June 9 BC College of Nurses and Midwives decision, Port Alberni former licensed practical nurse Aaron Forrester is prohibited for reapplying to practice for five years.
The issues occurred between November 2019 and May 2020 when Forrester dealt directly with the patient. Between December 2019 and April 2020, he continued to engage in sexual misconduct with that same patient. During that same time, she was repeatedly re-admitted to hospital on voluntary and involuntary bases.

Forrester voluntarily agreed to the terms, and if he reapplies to practice in the future he will have to convince the registration committee he meets fitness, competence and good character requirements.
No other information was offered from the college.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
Forrester does not have a record of criminal charges against him according to the provincial court registry.
He is currently being sued for a divorce that was filed just before his hearing on this matter.
