A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can give information on the whereabouts of a Kelowna man who went missing earlier this month.

Joe Driscoll, 42, was last spotted on Frontage Road in Kamloops around midnight on Nov. 11.

“He is an electrician in Northern B.C. and his work buddies put the money together while we are searching here and working with police,” said his sister Emma Driscoll.

Joe was reported missing by RCMP on Nov. 17. His family hasn't heard from him since Nov. 11, something his sister said is out of character.

He initially went to Kamloops to attend a concert by a Tragically Hip tribute band while on his days off of work.

“He has had issues with substance abuse in the past and as a people person the isolation caused by the pandemic restrictions were really hard on him,” Emma said. “I think the last two years he has fought harder than he has before. It is possible he could have relapsed but he has never disappeared before. I honestly don’t know anymore.”

Joe was stopped by police on Nov. 11 while driving his 2016 black F-350 with another person. RCMP impounded the truck but did not make an arrest and the truck is with the family.

Duane Hanson is Joe’s co-worker and friend who helped pull the reward money together. He has been networking on social media looking for clues.

“To anybody that knows where he is, whether it’s good or bad, be brave and come forward with his location, despite fear of retaliation from a person or people,” he said. “Joe is loved and respected despite any problems with substance abuse he may be going through. We love him and want him to come home.”

Emma said any information or clues have to go through the RCMP after the family has already fielded attempts by scammers to get the money.

Police describe Joe as five-foot-10, weighs 166 pounds, is bald with green eyes. He has a tribal tattoo on his neck, a skull tattoo on his left forearm and a tribal tattoo on his upper back.

RCMP said he is associated with a 2016 Black Ford F-350 pickup truck with the B.C. license plate KW 6538.

Kamloops RCMP asks anyone with information on Driscoll’s whereabouts to contact the detachment at 250-828-3000.
