Eric Falkenberg's soda box displays at a Kelowna Save On Foods have made him a local celebrity. This holiday season, he created a towering depiction of some classic Star Wars characters.

A Kelowna Save-On-Foods manager continues to impress shoppers with his themed pop can box displays.
This year, operations manager Eric Falkenberg's Christmas-themed display at the Save-On-Foods store on Cooper Road in Kelowna features fan-favourite Star Wars characters Darth Vader, Yoda and BB-8.
The huge characters are constructed entirely out of empty pop can boxes and stacked to an imposing height, almost scraping the the ceiling of the store.

Falkenberg has been creating displays like this for the last seven years. In that time, he has received multiple awards, significant social media attention and recognition from the president of Coca-Cola himself.
His previous work included a 50 foot long and 13 foot tall Coca-Cola themed semi-truck that took over 5,000 boxes to create, as well as his most recent Batman themed Halloween display which stood at over 13 feet tall and took three weeks, and close to 3,000 boxes, to complete.

Falkenberg's background in civil engineering has helped him continue to create bigger and better displays every year.
He gets sent boxes directly from Coca-Cola, Pepsi and other soda brands to create his artwork. Then, after weeks of assembling each box, constructing and stacking, his impressive displays are finished and put on show for local shoppers to enjoy.
