LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Val Kilmer is undergoing tests for a possible tumour, according to his representative.
Liz Rosenberg confirmed Saturday that the 55-year-old actor is at a Los Angeles hospital and that doctors are "encouraged by his progress" and hopeful he will make a full recovery.
Rosenberg says the actor's two children, 23-year-old Mercedes and 19-year-old Jack, are caring for him.
Kilmer is known for roles in movies ranging from "Top Gun" to "Heat" to "Tombstone."
Kilmer's condition was first reported by TMZ.com.
