KAMLOOPS - Police are still on the hunt for the vehicle responsible for yesterday evening's fatal hit and run on Pacific Way in Aberdeen.
Yesterday at 6:45 p.m., police responded to a hit and run on Pacific Way. A 16-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle responsible for the crash fled.
In a release issued today by Cpl. Jodi Shelkie, police are releasing two corrections to the public. The victim was actually a 16-year-old girl. Yesterday's release states she was 15 years old.
The release issued yesterday states the suspect vehicle may be a pick up truck, police are now saying that may not be the case.
Shelkie says police do not know the type of vehicle involved in the crash, only that it will have damage to the front passenger side.
The RCMP are asking anyone who has any information about this crash to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
