The Everett Silvertips defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-1 Tuesday night in Everett in the first of back-to-back midweek games for the Rockets.
The Silvertips scored twice in the first period and added three more in the second before Justin Kirkland scored the Rockets lone goal of the game, his 15th of the season.
Jackson Whistle suffered the loss in net as the Rockets were outshot 38-24.
The loss drops the Rockets record to a WHL-best 52-10-0-4 on the season.
The 52 wins is tied for the Rockets franchise record and Kelowna will be back in action on Wednesday when they welcome the Spokane Chiefs to Prospera Place.
