Pick-pocket targets Kelowna General Hospital

Police are looking for a man caught on camera last April stealing someone's wallet from Kelowna General Hospital.

The man pocketed $400 cash and two gift cards belonging to a KGH hospital worker.

Video surveillance footage from April 10, 2013 shows the unkown man entering an office in the hospital's emergency ward leaving with a wallet in hand. Apparently the woman working at the office was away from her desk between 1 and 1:30 p.m. leaving a window of time for the suspect to enter unseen. Police didn't receive report of the theft until later that night.

Three days later the woman's wallet was recovered at the Days Inn hotel on Highway 97. It appears the man decided to leave credit cards and identification behind, but took the cash and gift cards.

Police are asking  anyone with information to help identify the suspect by calling anonymously to 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visit the CrimeStoppers website, or text to CRIMES (274637), keyword Ktown.
