No one hurt in West Kelowna house fire

West Kelowna Fire Rescue responded to a house fire just after 5:00 a.m. Friday April 7, 2017.

WEST KELOWNA - Firefighters responded to a house fire in West Kelowna early this morning.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue says crews were called to the fire at a home in the 1100 block of Peak Point Drive just after 5 a.m., April 7, was quickly put out and there was no damage to neighbouring structures.

A total of 15 firefighters responded to the scene with four fire engines and one command unit, according to a media release.

No one was home at the time of the fire. No word on how much damage was done to the home.

RCMP are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
