Hope man loses life in weekend motorcycle crash near Lillooet

LILLOOET - A weekend motorcycle crash has cost a Hope man his life.

Around 1:35 p.m. July 2 a 61-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 12. RCMP have confirmed the man was from Hope.

The man lost control of the motorcycle going downhill on a curvy section of the road heading north about 15 kilometers south of Lillooet, according to an RCMP press release. RCMP and B.C. Ambulance attended the scene.

The RCMP are looking for witnesses to the crash who haven’t spoken to police yet. They are asked to call Cpl. Andrew West at 250-453-2216. The B.C. Coroners Service are also investigating.
