Former Penticton man gets rose; still in the running on The Bachelorette

Daniel Maguire.

PENTICTON - A local secondary school grad trying to win the Bachelorette's heart put aside his 'villianous' antics this week and again earned himself a rose.

Daniel Maguire, a competitor on The Bachelorette, had his title of season villian taken by another man this week.

The Penticton Secondary School and Thompson Rivers University graduate was considered the initial villain of ABC dating game show The Bachelorette in the premier episode, but commentators on TV Guide have passed the title on to another contestant, Chad Johnson.

TV Guide described Johnson as a ‘super douche,’ overshadowing the rest of the show’s cast.

In the end Maguire was one of the contestants to receive a rose from Bachelorette Jojo Fletcher, which means he moves on to the next episode, set to air on ABC June 6 at 8 p.m.
