CALGARY - The Calgary Stampeders added the role of president to John Hufnagel's job title Wednesday.

Hufnagel, already Calgary's general manager, was named its president by the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, which owns the CFL franchise. Hufnagel replaces Gordon Norrie, who now becomes the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation's vice-president of sports properties, sales and marketing.

In addition, a new position Stampeders Director of Business Operations has been created to assist Hufnagel with his business duties.

Hufnagel has been with the Stampeders since 2008, having served as head coach and GM before naming offensive co-ordinator Dave Dickenson as the club's new head coach at season's end. Hufnagel led Calgary to Grey Cup titles in 2008 and '14 and compiled a 102-41-1 career record.

Twice he was named the CFL's coach of the year and led Calgary to double-digit victories and the playoffs in each of his seasons on the sidelines.
