UPDATE: Coquihalla reopens after avalanche control work

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - Crews have wrapped up avalanche control on Highway 5 and delays are no longer expected. 

According to Drive B.C., the Coquihalla was closed in both directions yesterday, March 4. Anyone who travelled on Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt after 1 p.m. yesterday likely saw three to four hour delays.

Always check Drive B.C. for the most up to date information on road conditions and closures.
