LAKE COUNTRY – The suspect got away after an armed robbery at the Lake Country Shell station Friday night.
RCMP say they got the report of the robbery just before 10 p.m.
A man walked into the Shell at Highway 97 and Beaver Lake Road and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the clerk.
“The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash,” Const. J.L. O’Donaghey said.
No one was hurt.
Despite a search and patrols by RCMP officers from both the Lake Country and Kelowna detachments, and a police dog, no sign of the suspect.
Police are looking for a white male, about 5’5” to 5’9” tall and 210 lb. He was wearing a black hooded sweater, black bandana over his face, sunglasses and gloves.
He was carrying a black handgun.
