ARE WE COOL NOW? You can decide starting April 16

KAMLOOPS - Western Canada Theatre is very proud to introduce the World Premiere of ARE WE COOL NOW?, based on the songs of Dan Mangan, April 16 to May 2 at the Pavilion Theatre.

Inspired by and featuring the songs of two-time JUNO-award-winning Dan Mangan, ARE WE COOL NOW? is an intimate and humourous exploration of contemporary relationships. An innovative rock music/theatre fusion written by Amiel Gladstone, ARE WE COOL NOW? invites you to take a trip with our couple as they reflect on their place in the world and with each other.

Produced by WCT, this inventive rock musical combines the talents of indie-favourite Dan Mangan and writer/director Amiel Gladstone. A couple – played by actor-musicians Penelope Corrin and Ben Elliott – sets out on a road trip. On the road, they reflect – with the accompaniment of local musicians Mike Turner and Kris Ruston – on their place in the world and with each other.

Rounding out the production are Set and Lighting Designer Lauchlin Johnston, whose work was enjoyed by WCT audiences before on the delightful The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and WCT’s Head of Wardrobe Cindy Wiebe as the Costume Designer.

Join the road trip on the last production of WCT’s 2014-15 season.

“Living is the only thing you can do. Living is what you gotta do to fight your fears.”
